I haven't done it leaving home, but when mine quit making power in June while on vacation, has me thinking of buying or renting a small Honda as a backup if I don't find what causes the intermittent loss of power by my trip in October. I will take my chances on the eclipse trip as it is only going to be stopped 3 days. The rest of the time we will be traveling.

Haven't done it but I don't see why it would be a problem. The ride height will remain the same. Possibly a little rougher ride due to less weight.
