Many thanks to all contributors, caflashbob really nailed my solar panel installation wiring on my ancient coach that his dealership sold and serviced. Opened a panel, and there it was exactly as he described. Rigid input wire on the diode had failed and was no longer attached. Will check if the pre 95 vintage panels still have output. I may have spent days looking.
