Re: ZipDee shade question Reply #2 – September 14, 2017, 09:28:02 am I just went through the same problem, but on my large patio shade. I called Zip Dee the owner was very nice and helped me. He will let you know what you need to do and how to do it. He stated the problem is due to a lack of lubrication. On the large shade I was told to fully open the shade and spray silicone using the long nozzle flooding the inside portion of end caps and work the shade back and forth. You may need to do this a few times. Let excess silicone run out. You may end up using a lot spray. In my case, it solved the problem. He stated that they should be lubricated every year. I no longer struggle with the shade and will be lubricating all of the shades. Here is the link to their parts page. You can look up your shades. Their number is on the page, call them and ask for the service department and they will help you out or direct you to a service center near you. They are great!John MParts Lists Quote Selected 2 Likes
Re: ZipDee shade question Reply #3 – September 14, 2017, 12:00:15 pm When I purchased my 96 U320 at MOT in 2010, even the techs at MOT could not get the main awning out. I did what John described and it has worked perfectly for 7 years without additional lubrication. I speculate that the awning was very seldom used before my purchase because the cloth was clean and bright, but now is showing some spots and fade (I use it lots). Quote Selected 2 Likes

I see that we are practically neighbors, maybe we'll cross paths sometimes Quote Selected
