Gates RLA low pressure hose for bio diesel replaced both supply and return. Gates will not recommend for barbed fitting, so had their Gates steel Mega Crimp on fitting for tank (brass was not available). I used hose clamp on other end at generator. Had to pull tank to get to center of tank where gen supply was. Bled hose, engine started right up. As hose did bind a couple times, for me not as simple to replace as others have said.
I placed a four inch long brass pipe, threaded on both ends, to combine the new and old hose to pull thru starting at the the tank after cutting hose there. Like an old Chinese finger toy, the hose gripped tighter on the threads as hose was pulled. Again, important to block chassis for safety as you are working right next to air lines if you go under chassis.
RLA Return Line & Low Pressure Hose | Gates Corporation This is what I used for both supply and return. You can check price at a couple different local replacement hydraulic hose shops. I used 17 feet of each which was exactly right, as one just made it. I would use 18 feet if I did it over to be safe for return, 17 for supply. Supply is in the center of tank, return is on the outside, 17 feet just made it for the return hose.
