MCD power windshield shades
A funny thing happened while driving down the road in North Dakota- the passenger side MCD blind came crashing down. Karen quickly took it off , rolled it up and put it safely on the floor. A little while later the other blind came down on passenger side. These are 7 years old and over 60, 000 mile blinds. When it was getting cold, we were going to head south so I said lets go to MCD factory in McKinney, TX to get them fixed. 1200 miles later I pulled in , Thursday about 12:30PM- they said they probably couldn't get anyone to look at it until the morning so I got a 50 amp site. Then we contacted some Foretravel friends- Mike & JoAnne Whitaker and had 2 great evenings of fun together.
Calvin came out Friday morning to look at our situation, explained that I will need 2 new motors, some fasteners, screws, etc. He took the blinds and the hanger into the shop, came back later with the assembly and installed it. Then he reprogramed the blinds, everything works great. MCD came through and we were only charged for the 2 motors and 1/2 hour labor. Great company to deal with and great product. We love our MCD's.
Tomorrow we are off to see our friends Bill Chaplin and Jo Gibbs in Alvarado, TX. Always a good time with Foretravel people.
