Rats - Fuel Line Leak

I've got a problem with rats which I think are gone now but I now have a leak in the fuel line.  I was having trouble starting my coach and have been working with Keith at MOT when we finally came to the conclusion that the rats probably chewed through the  fuel line.  I have fuel that is dripping through to the utilities compartment and on to the ground.  My next step is to open the metal tray in my large storage bin and see if I can find the leak.  I realize I should replace the fuel line but that is beyond my capabilities and at the moment I can't move the coach from my storage facility.  My current approach is to splice a new section in to the line and run it to the
fuel filter.  Has anyone done this and if you have what type of connectors did you use to splice into the fuel hose?

Immediately put a pan under it in the basement to catch the drip.  Diesel will dissolve the insulation in the basement floor AND will be really hard to get the smell out.

Don't see a problem with a short term solution of a barb to barb metal fitting and constant torque clamps (the ones that do not have a "hard spot" on one side where the screw mechanism is).

Don't know what inverter/charger you have in your coach, but most use a cable with telephone-"TYPE" RJ-11 connectors.  The cable is sometimes called a communications cable and has slightly different pinouts on one end than the common telephone cable.  If you can find the cable, just replace your damaged cable, even temporarily running it out the window if needed.  This will also be a cheap way to diagnose your display panel and get you back to 'normal'.
