Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #1 – November 25, 2017, 07:27:13 am That is a diesel nozzle for the Aqua Hot burner. It could be a used one, as a new one should be kept clean. Mike Quote Selected
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #2 – November 25, 2017, 07:46:07 am The newer ones are brass. At least the ones I used on my Newell were brass. Quote Selected
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #3 – November 25, 2017, 08:23:10 am Matt,That is a Hago nozzle for the Aqua Hot Webasto diesel burner. We no longer use the Hago brand but Danfoss instead. The Danfoss is a brass nozzle. Some years ago the Hagoes became smokey and were replaced with Danfoss. I would conside that nozzle trash. Quote Selected 1 Likes
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #4 – November 25, 2017, 08:25:32 am Just have to ask. Isn't the left end sintered bronze? Not brass. Quote Selected
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #5 – November 25, 2017, 08:49:47 am As the pictured Hago nozzle is oriented, the left half of both a Hago and Danfoss nozzle (not pictured) is a fuel filter. The Danfoss body is brass.Hope this helps. Quote Selected 2 Likes
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #6 – November 25, 2017, 08:56:38 am From the service records the Aqua-Hot was replaced in 2017 so I will buy the parts to do the yearly service and put that PM on the list for later this year. It worked well on the way home. I have had propane heat in my previous class A and the Aqua-Hot is really nice. Thanks for the help. Quote Selected
Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #7 – November 25, 2017, 09:03:29 am Matt,What is the model number of your heater? To determine if the diesel burner is running correctly, turn it on and let it fire. Observe the exhaust. Smooth robust roar, no visible vapor that does not burn your eyes is what you are looking for. Using the burner once per month or more (more is better) can allow the burner to go 2 or 3 years between services.Letting the burner sit and sit and sit allows the diesel on the nozzle to congeal ruining the fine mist spray pattern resulting in smelling, smoking and even no fire. Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #8 – November 25, 2017, 09:06:57 am Do what Rudy says....You will keep your AH in good shape by running the diesel fired boiler once a month for at least one cycle. This keeps the nozzle and filter from gumming up. The "annual" service can be quite a bit longer than that with reqular use, service when it needs it.Similar advice for your generator. 1/2 hour once a month with load. Run the AH electric side and an AC or two. Quote Selected

I will get the model and serial number off the unit later today when I do the test you suggest. Sounds like I need to set up a PM schedule for the 1st and 15th to start up the Aqua-Hot, the Generator, and check the water level in the batteries. I am sure more stuff will get put in that schedule as we go forward. Quote Selected

Do as Rudy suggested and post the model of your AH. Quote Selected

Re: Anybody know what this is? Reply #12 – November 26, 2017, 09:41:39 am If this is a replacement recently, it is a reman, which is fine. The RM should be for reman. The 16 gal coolant tank uses the same coolant as does the gen and main engine. This coolant should be cut 50/50 with distilled water. Tank under the radiator cap should be lipping full. Then overflow tank sould be filled to hot line when burner cycles off at full temp.More info when you call Quote Selected 1 Likes
