Generator surging on pod type coffee maker

Ran across a surging issue running a new pulse type pod coffee maker.

No load gen at normal rpm turn on the coffee maker and the Isuzu engines surged in rpms enough to have the power watch meters voltage swing wildly and the coach 110 lighting go dim and bright.

Guru buddy and I were brainstorming the issue and wondered if the governor may be having a problem or is the power low on the gen?  Or bad fuel lines sucking air.

Works fine on steady loads.  Seems full powered?

Do any of you here have any input?

Inverter surges also but will finish the cycle

All things being equal all other loads work as they should, the new fangled coffee pot is not going to work out. Just a guess but the pulse is happening faster than the generator can keep up with.

We have used our luring and never had a pulse issue and we used other types in the past as well.

My Keurig cycles the heating element on and off quite often thruout the cycle. I noticed it on generator or inverter power, never knew it was doing it while on a power pole, but it coincides with the relay clicking. It didnt make the generator surge, but I could hear it responding to the changes in load.

 I just switched to a 10 cup drip machine with insulated carafe because its easier/cheaper, uses less power boondocking and keeps a pot warm for a few hours vs constantly firing up to make a single cup. It also doesnt require winterization if things end up freezing, which would destroy the keurig.
