Old IR Device

Found this in the cabinet. I'm assuming this was a previous means for controlling some of the electronics. It doesn't peered to be controlling anything at the present time so I guess I'm safe and removing it.

It's the junction box for your fiber optic remotes, which allow the remotes to work with cabinets closed, and from the bedroom.

The little green eyes in the bedroom and the center overhead in the front are the ones T-man is talking about. They let you operate devices from the bedroom and the living area with the cabinets closed. I bought new emitters and put them on my dvd, stereo and DTV box. I don't have the fancy sat box so it only works on IR. Nice to change channels on sat from bedroom with the door closed.

You might want to just leave that in place, you may want to use it some time. I am attaching files about installation, operation and troubleshooting.
