03 U320 Slide -- Limit Switch Issue?
Hi friends. We're on the road in West Texas for a short trip and have a slide issue.
When extending the bedroom slide 2 nights ago, everything was normal until it came time for the slide to stop. It kept going and there was an awful bang followed by a splintering wood sound. When I retracted the slide it came too far into the room. The outside fiberglass skin of the slide was recessed about 2" inside of the rest of the coach. I was able to check out the bladder and it was holding air and looked good. I extended the slide just enough to where the outside of the slide is now flush with the rest of the coach and the bladder seals the gap normally.
We're continuing our trip and not using the slide.
With the slide out retracted the bed and slide-mounted cabinets are about 2 or 3 inches further into the room than normal. Thus it appears that the slide out interior has separated from the slide out frame.
I don't have a copy of the HWH slide out manual and don't see it on Beamalarm.com. Also the HWH website seems to be down. Anyone have a copy of the manual?
Because there seems to be a position limit issue in both directions (extension and retraction) I'm guessing that I have a limit switch/sensor problem, cabling issue between the switch/sensor or an HWH CPU issue such that it is not responding to the switch/sensor input.
Searched posts for the past 2 days looking for this issue but no joy. We'll be on and off the forum over the next 3 days as cell coverage is spotty out here.
