HOT PINK! Stain

We decided to go to the coast for a couple days, I live in Washington State so it's only a couple hours drive. Being off season and the fact that the weather this time of year sucks, you don't find a lot of people out and about. We ended up in La Push, WA. right on the ocean with the waves breaking. After a long wet walk on the beach we discarded some of the wet clothing on the dash, on top of the "pink" registration slip  that you show in the window that says you paid. Later (about an hour) when we picked up the wet clothing, the now wet registration slip left an almost perfect pink silhouette on the vinyl dash!

We've used rubbing alchohol, ammonia, peroxide, oxy clean and finally the dreaded "goof off" with no luck. I'm pretty sure it's not coming out. So what's next for me is replacing the vinyl. The question: Is it hard to remove that section of dash that has the (defroster) vents in it?
(hope I explained that right).

If you are thinking of replacing the dash, try some bleach on a rag first, it removed the stain from a stuck on phone holder on my dash.

Pink should fade out in the sun. Park accordingly.

Give it some time before replacement.  Some harsh chemicals can make it worse.  Be calm.

....try some non-acetone nail polish remover....only dab at first til you see what you have or dab/smear quickly with cotton ball & then immediately wipe with clean rag.....that stuff works on a lot of things other stuff doesn't...use fast thinking caution of course, don't leave it on just try it in small doses...make sure it is NON ACETONE...not the regular stuff....good luck!
