Trekmate

Newbie. Have a 1999 U270 with A trekmate security system. We do not use the system and would like to dismantle it completely. When we leave for a few days and upon returning the system is on and making a high pitch sound that can only be shut off by inserting the ignition key and turning it on. We have tried removing the fuse, which only made it worse. The manual is not much help.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I upgraded mine. If you do search you will see everything to do it. Not hard. You can find it in the lower right in front of the pass seat, where all the relays are. Just unplug the long I believe purple din plug to it.
You'll lose your power locks if you have them....I added them to my new system. Best upgrade I did
