Any idea How This Disassembles?

Previous owner removed magazine rack leaving the end pieces shown in the photo. I remove the two screws holding this piece to the wall but it somehow connected to the vertical cupholder which also includes the step cover switch.

I'd like to remove this piece of walnut from the side of the cupholder but it seems to be affixed to the cupholder somehow and I don't want to do damage.

Thanks

Randy,

You need to take the switches off the front by removing the 4 little screws in the mounting plate.  Pull the switch assembly clear as there is usually enough wire to get them out of the way.  Now take a flashlight and look inside the peep hole you have just created. This action will reveal one possibly 2 square head screws that have to be removed to take the hole cup holder stand off. This stand is covered in formica so it is somewhat brittle. After you have the thing off the wall you will be able to get to the back side and remove the staples and screws that hold the piece on you are talking about.  Seems like I have posted some pics of this somewhere.
