Wiper blades

While driving the coach to have tires put on, noticed one of the wiper blades has deteriorated. Any suggestions on size/ brand. Haven't checked the owners manual, its in the coach. :o

Thanks,

Larry, I generally just take the blade to the store. They look at it, ask what it is off of, then head over to the truck blades. There are usually two or three that will work. Sometimes they are all about the same price, and sometimes there is a big difference between the cheapest and the most expensive. Funny, even the stores that will change the wipers on your car don't want to do the Foretravel.

Thanks David, I wasn't sure if one brand was better/ more durable or whatever  than another.

A word of advise.  Don't try to install 28" wipers.

26" is what you want. The ones recommended by JOR is what I installed.

Always had best luck with Trico blades both on my own vehicles and in a fleet application.

Steve, I have 26" blades but was considering going to 28" when I change them. There looks like there would be room. Why not 28, do they hit something I can't see?

Where the arms go to the outside they loose contact at the radius on the outside.

Lance  Ed,

When I installed the 28" blades on my coach, the driver side extended below the edge of the window.  This caused it to bump on the mirror base.  It actually bumped hard enough to scrape some of the chrome plating off.

While driving home in the rain after several hours of bumping, the wiper assembly broke.  Oops, no wiper on the driver's side and it is still raining.  Fortunately, the PO had left a bottle of rainX in the supply drawer.  I stood in the rain, beside I40 in Oklahoma on a cold afternoon, trying to dry the windshield so I could apply the RainX.  It was not my favorite part of the ride home.

It may be possible to adjust the wiper such that the bottom edge of the wiper blade does not strike the mirror support, but I just bought new 26" blades.  Included new arms rto replace the broken and matching passenger side..  I have a couple of lightly used 28" blades.  LOL

Thank you all for your comments and advice. This is why I asked the dumb questions :))  26" Trico's work for me.
