Rear camera

After our most recent trip I failed to turn our monitor off.
Now the compass and other screens work but the rear camera is solid BLANK .
Was wondering if the camera overheated sitting on for weeks or if the monitor is the issue??
Either way any input on where to look for a new camera and or monitor that would work with existing wires would be most appreciated!

RVCams or Tadi Bros seem to be the choices that work.

Some reuse wiring, it is not too hard to thread new wiring front to rear in the upper wire chase between the wall and the roof.
I added three camaras and a new monitor from Tadi Bros.  Easy to do, cust service was great.

Agree with Roger. Tim at RV Cams can guide you thru whatever you need. I re-used existing wiring and Tim sent me everything needed, adapters etc, for plug and play operation. Now have nice HD picture. HUGE improvement over factory unit.

Thanks folks . I stumbled onto Tadi brothers and they assured me that they're system will work with old RCA cable if that's what the javelin used.

I would not buy from Tadi again. Monitor failed and they only offered to sell me another. Theirs only work if you get RCA adapters to use inline. They are all made in China and you can get a better deal and monitor online. Most likely your camera is fine but since it's black and white you can upgrade that for cheap also. My opinion.

Just purchased the entire voyager kit from RV cam for under $400.00 with shipping. Comes with any conceivable adapter they see me needing. Fingers crossed

You can get a great camera and monitor for $80.00 - $100.00, and use your existing wiring.

I am in the process of changing my camera and maybe the monitor. I contacted both Tim at RV cams and Tadibrothers. I'm going with Tim. The sales people at Tadibrothers are to slick for me. They promise anything to make a sale. Tim on the other hand is more low key and very helpful. I am taking baby steps. I will first start with the camera, because I think my monitor is working just fine. If the monitor doesn't give me a good picture I will replace it. I have read it might even give me a color picture with the new camera if not I can live with black n white. My monitor functions are working perfectly.

It pays to shop around, talk to different people, figure out what you really want to do.  What kind of resolution do you want?  Do you want side cameras?  Do you want high and low rearview cameras. Do you want a single or multiple view monitor?

I got a $65 wireless camera and monitor from China.  It was junk.  The stuff I got from Tadi Bros was what I needed and has worked flawlessly.

I just replaced my monitor and camera with color and I got them on the auction site from China. Both were about 50 bucks total. I had to change the fittings on the coax and buy an cable adapter on the monitor end. Also had to make a bracket to hold the monitor on the dash as illustrated in the first pic.  Probably have about 1-2 hours labor. Works great

Where's the stuff from Tadi Bros. made?

My guess is that all of it comes from Asia somewhere.  Call and ask. Nothing wrong with that, it is the seller in which you need to have confidence.

Price  Just means that if it cost a lot it must be good. Product perception .  In reality the cost to quality is no longer connected  in todays manufacturing markets.
I also have the pictured camera,Chinese<,screen set and they work great.
