Air admittance valve replacement

I'd like to replace the valve under the kitchen sink and the bathroom vanity. I don't see a way to get the old ones off without cutting. The bathroom one has threads but there doesn't look like there's room to get leverage to loosen. Any suggestions as to how to simplify replacement.

The admittance valves do screw on unless a previous owner replaced them and glued them in place.  I had to use a pair of Robo-grip type adjustable pliers with teeth to break all but one free.

I removed the shelf in the bathroom vanity to get enough room in there.

The one under the kitchen sink is the worst in terms of space.  No way around it, you have to be able to wedge yourself up under the sink to be able to work with it.  Then when you use the pliers you only have a small amount of room in which to twist the handles until you can twist it off by hand.

Consider spending a bit more on the new valves and buy the nicer Studor Minivent brand.  More money up front, but they are well built.

I picked up a pair of grip plyers which made the job much easier. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

screwdriver thru the top worked for me,  Lotsa luck
