Hazard Light Flasher?

So, I have been trying to figure out, just why I never had Four Way, Emergency Flashers, and the Only Relay I can find is under the Passenger Side CB Panel, in the Lower Right position.  I changed it out, and that didn't help!  The Wiring Diagrams show a Separate Flasher Relay, for it, But I can Not Physically Find it?  Also, when I engage the Turn Signals with the Hazard Switch OUT, they do not work!  As I recall, that can also be a Flasher Relay? I looked under the Dash, removed the Dash Top, looked just about every place I could think of, anyway?  It's hard to Trace the Wire from the Steering Wheel, but it could also be the Switch Assembly on the Steering Wheel, perhaps?  I know it's a FORD Product, but does anyone have a Clue as to the Part # for that is? They can wear out also, and even if it isn't bad, I'd like a Spare!  They are less than $20.00 for the ones I did find online!

Have you checked behind the panel in front of the passenger seat. There should be circuit breakers and relays in there and maybe the flashers as well.

The flashers are generic can bought anywhere. They are usually round and have 2 connectors. Both the turn signal and emergency flasher are where Ron mentioned above on my coach.

Yes, I have found A Flasher, but the Wires going to it, Correspond to the Turn Signals ONLY!  No other Flasher in that area?  I Meant Passenger side panel, BTW, and changed it to reflect that! LOL

Is there an unconnected terminal end near the signal flasher? If I was out on the road and the turn signal flasher went bad I would rob the emergency flasher and use it. Maybe someone forgot to replace one if that happened.

I searched, and again, all I have is the One Flasher Relay, no other one found? No Terminals either?

Maybe the  one flasher does both, how about changing your flasher to one of the new solid state types to see if both will work? When we changed our turn signal/brake lights to LED, we changed to electronic flasher, as the older style depends on amp draw to activate.

Also, the wiring list for my 97 indicates the flasher wire numbers as 94L (black) and 94X (red). Might be the same.

Gunny, call James Triana at the FOT with your build number and ask him to send you a pdf of the 12v system diagram if you dot have the one that came with your coach.

Thanks ALL!  I do have a Schematic that came with our coach Manual, and did locate the turn Signal Flasher, changed it out same result!  I do not have the LED Type with the Ground wire, but is only 2 Prong, BTW!  The Pic of the Panel is Exactly the same as I have, minus the Lower Flasher, that's just Not there, at all?  I will Print Pic and Compare though, it may have been clipped out? The Saga Continues...LOL  I have to get this Coach inspected for PA., so may end up having an RV Tech figure it out, perhaps?  Again, if Anyone knows the Ford P/N# for the Steering Column Assembly, I'd appreciate it!  I will call Nac on that as well?  I WILL Figure this mess out, somehow though?

Eureka, I found the Relay!  A pic tells a Thousand words, and so true here!  I found the Relay, tucked Behind the Panel, and my A/C Heat vent hose was hiding the wire, so that is just WHY it wasn't found!  I kept moving the Hose around until I felt the relay!  So the relay is Not Round, and a 20 Amp Rating!  It is Square and 35 Amp rating, it is P/N 242 by Signal Stat and all black in color, sealed.  Relays can Stick so I smacked it around also! We have a Diagonal Support Bracket 2" x 2", that is framework, so that Pinched the Hose to also hide that relay, which ended up BEHIND the Panel!!! So, I had another Relay (20 AMP) that I plugged in.  I ended up with the same Conditions.  The Turn Signals Worked, until I pulled the Emergency Flasher Tab out, then stopped, pushed it back in, they worked!  Tried using JUST the Emergency Flasher, No Workee!  I feel at this point, that the Switch on the Steering Column is bad!  So I called Nac Parts, and I get a New one in the Mail for $125.00 plus shipping!  I do believe that should cure my issue, now?  I will Isolate and ring out the wiring to eliminate that as well, but those Steering Column switches do wear out, so Even If I do not need it, I will have it!  Hopefully I can Jumper it, before I remove the old one perhaps?  AGAIN, Thanks All I will fix this doggone issue! LOL

So, that Flasher Is Pricey, $34.00, everywhere!  So a Substitute Will Work, for sure! I just ordered this one from Raney's Truck Parts!  And got a 15% Discount, a little over $14.00!

Thanks all for your help!  So I got a New 35 Amp Relay, which WAS Bad!  BUT the big issue was I found that wiggling the Wire Bundle coming from the Steering Column.  It looked like the wires were Chafing, but I got on my back, and found the 5 Wire Connector was Loose!  The Locking Tab was Broken, so I took a Plastic Wire Tie, and fed it through the Top Connector, between the wires, and then the Bottom one!  It is now, working, just fine!  Easy fix, after all!  I also took some Wire Loom, and ran it all the way up the Steering Column, down to that Connector!  The bundle has been Chafing, so I thought I'd better fix that NOW!  I also have a SPARE, expensive Turn Signal Assembly, that was very Easy to replace BTW!  It mounts with 2 screws, and has 2 Plugs!  No removal of the Steering wheel was necessary
