Windshield Reflector from "HeatShield"

I was buying some windshield heat reflectors for a couple of my vehicles today.  After 8 years living in Southern California, I am not sure what finally broke me down, but its more than likely the ongoing UV damage to the dash pads with keeping interiors cooler as an added benefit....

Anyhow, the company I am buying from is well known in the trucking industry for making high quality window shields for semis....so I went to the drop down menu and sure enough Foretravel is on the list!  I am curious if anyone has purchased/used these exact same reflective shields?  I have previously made my own out of a roll of the cheap bubble reflective foil - at the time I was living in the coach and it was a huge help for afternoon heat gain.  The size of the home made unit made it difficult/frustrating to store. It also became flimsy and difficult to secure over time.  Would like to get a set of these, but hoping to get some real world reviews of these specific units.  I know of other products that can provide similar benefit (interior MCD shades, exterior snap on windshield covers, other home made solutions on the interior), and for purposes of this thread would prefer only to receive feedback on these exact units, or something very similar, ie. high quality interior reflective shades for protection of the dash from UV during storage periods.

I did call and ask the manufacturer for photos, they didn't have any on hand, but took down my information and said they would get with their product team and get back to me if they have anything.

I had the windshields tinted with ceramic tint with 99% UV rejection and 80% solar rejection. I used to cook while driving west. Total game changer. Ceramic tint is amazing. Laughed out loud, I never took down my permanent double bubble although it doesn't do much now in the front windshield

I use the bubble wrap reflective shield on the windshield when parked and it really makes
a difference and in the winter it makes a big difference keeping the cold out. I like Scotts
idea but I drive a lot in the dark in the winter and I don't want anything impeding my vision.

So buy the ceramic with almost undetectable tint. Allow 98% of the light to go threw but still drops uv 90+%.

This is probably the end game, but that game is LONG.  Both of my windshields are cracked and chipped.  Its just not a priority for me to do new glass and ceramic tint at this point due to the cost.  I'm still in the function over form phase of my life so I can afford to do all the things I want to do, albeit not looking as good or cool as those around me.

I went with these, placed them under the original shades and used both together, works well, reduced the heat by a noticeable margin.

Yes I too considered waiting to get them tinted when I change both of them . I have countless chips and repairs but am so glad I got them done even knowing they will have to be done in the future again. The return justified the investment.
