water pump dead

no way to start off my morning. 1/4 tank fresh water, pump lights on, been working like a clock......dead. I'm grouchy. Gotta have a cup of coffee....then????? check fuse at bed?? check power at pump?? Start drinking early??

Make ire there isn't a connection at the pump bar has failed (butt connector or worse a scotch connector). Then with a small hammer or a ratchet handle some gentle percussive maintenance might get it going for the day.

I/we always keep a one gallon jug of drinking water handy just for a dire emergency like yours.
(Actually it is the DW's idea. I am too much of a dumbass to think that far ahead)

I had a problem just like that. It was the ground wire for the pump. I pulled it off where the ground was intermittent, extended it to the compartment light switch at the door and made a new ground there. Courtesy of Bill Chaplins great cavern of a garage.
