Pro-Link 9000 Cylinder Cut-Out and Injector Response Tests for DD6V92

I ran the Cylinder Cutout and Injector Response Times tests with my Pro- Link today.  I'm not sure how to interpret the data, but It looks like I'm getting good results from the tests.

I would like to compare results from the other members who have a DD6V92 and a Pro-Link or other diagnostic tool (Bill Chaplin, Pierce, Andy, Stump, John Fitz).  I'm sure some of you old diesel mechanics know what they mean!

I ran the automatic test for the cylinder cutout at 1000 rpm.

Yours look good. With the electronic unit injectors, it's the length of time the injectors spray that dictates the power you get from the engine. The Pro-Link cuts each injector out and then measures the amount of fuel and time necessary to bring the RPMs back up to idle speed (600 RPM) or the fast idle of 1000 RPM. This is a GREAT tool for this and so many other tests. You numbers are all close to each other so everything looks good.

We just got back last night from a trip to Mount Shasta up at 3900 feet. We fueled coming and going at the same Indian casino in Oroville ($3.30/gal, lowest in California) and used 36.04 gallons for 357 miles for about 10 mpg without toad. This included 45 minutes of stop and go on the freeway because of a brush fire. Not bad for a tall/wide coach with a 4 speed Allison. Sure would like the 6 speed.

Andy, where did you get your Pro-Link fixed, how much and what was wrong with it? After we talked, I checked my OEM inverter and found a storage bin had hit the on/off switch. The Dinosaur board on the water heater had also popped a fuse. A sensor wire had made contact with the burner. Two 5 minute fixes.

Hey Pierce, of all places a speedometer shop, he said he found a few busted solder joints clean it up and bingo works great. Glad you found your problem. ^.^d
