Looking for input and advice on complete coach repaint

I am considering having my 2005 U270 completely repainted in a different color scheme. I have communicated with Xtreme. They need the coach for 2 months, and their first opening is in Mar-April 2019.  I have not reached out to other shops yet. Quality workmanship is very important. Does anyone have any experience using Foretravel for a complete repaint? Does anyone have a recommendation for a shop in the southeastern U.S.  area? Is two months the average time frame needed? The coach is in very good condition, only a couple scrapes and scratches.
Thank you in advance

Have heard that Fog Doctor in Searcy, Arkansas does a FBP.  It's the shop that does windows, body work and roof coating. Might be worth checking into.

cdm, just do a search on Miz Dani paint for latest pics of my job at FOT, (profile pic is not updated, coach looks entirely different, like new) ....6 weeks in the shop, love the outcome....call FOT shop for current prices & scheduling...price was very reasonable compared to Xtreme + wait time was shorter.

The only two places I would go are Xtreme or FT.  I preferred extreme as their work is second to none and James is the one who opened the FT paint shop for them.  You. Might consider new windows at the same time.

"Reasonable" ? Ours was 13 CBs, and we have a smaller coach than you guys. The shop in Phoenix did not just mask things off, everything that was screwed or riveted, was removed. It looked like a high-end prison bus when it rolled out of the paint booth. No overspray.  Five years later, it looks brand new! One thing I've found: one has a huge responsibility after forking out that kind of cash, the attention to waxing & cleaning goes on forever!  ^.^d

I see from your profile that you go to Boynton Beach, FL.  You could use Creative Coach in Polk City, FL.  They do nice work.

Who says the old guys are postin' less?

We contracted our 40' u320 with FOT in 12/16. Completed 3/17. We used them after a long wait promised at Xtreme, also the design we liked was James Stalling's work, but now owned by FOT. We were told by Biscuit @ FOT that he could work our project into the mix immediately and since they had design rights, we got started.

Most folks might cringe over the costs, but we wound up with a great outcome. I'll discuss those by PM, but we got pretty good performance from the FOT crew. We recommend staying involved, managing outcomes w/o micromanaging those guys.

Our comebacks: overspray, adjustments, some broken plastic stuff: all resolved.

I am a big fan of Xreme and Motorhome of Texas and use their services regularly. I can recommend the FOT paint shop. I think Braxton Spain will keep me coming back to try FOT again.

Question about wraps, can they be repaired if scuffed or torn?

I sent a Personal Message to CDM, and offer the same insights to others:

I have gone out of my way to avoid bashing the company that I want to thrive.................BUT

We have a custom, Full Body Painted, U320 that was repainted by FOT,  in 2006, when end cap design problems created the need for end cap rework.  It was designed wrong, it has been repaired twice and it is now falling apart again.

WE also have had extensive experience with Extreme, both upgrade Paint and Body work, on our first coach........a 1998, U270.

From twenty years of Foretravel ownership and experience, I have fact-based opinions on both organizations and the quality of their raw materials, business conduct, values, ethics, the longevity of their work and the overall quality provided for the dollar spent.
Feel free to give me a call if you are interested.

Thanks to everyone that gave good advice and shared their experiences. That input is greatly appreciated. I have made decision to go with Xtreme. I am booked in their Mar-April 2019 time slot.

Just found this: http://www.wrapworld.com/vehicle-wraps/pricing/rv-wraps-pricing/

Looks like a 40 Ft Bus would cost about $8600 to wrap completely. Was just at FOT this morning got a quote for 40 Ft full body paint, they said it's between $15-24K, depending on the amount of fiberglass/gel coat work they need to do. They said they fix every small crack or imperfection first before they do the painting, because it will show up under the paint.

I know you already booked. Just figured I'd post the wrap pricing for anyone searching in the future.

I am so used to the oem white gelcoats ability to not show scratches and lower the heat gain that I would probably want to know if and how much it would cost to reapply the original maxguard 29 back on the coach,

Anyone have any idea?  Has anyone asked?  Can the maxguard be reapplied?
