headlight conversion question

To those who have had the Xtreme headlight conversion, how bright are the headlights and is the bulb a common bulb that can be bought locally? Planning to have it done.

I didn't see any option at Xtreme for the standard horizontal three light conversion on my model coach.

Take standard  bulb, but easily replaced with an hid or led bulb. Much brighter and better coverage because of higher position. This is my 99.

They use a common bulb.  If they do the driving lights too then four are the same size and interchangeable, 90 mm I think and the bigger ones are 120 mm.  Rance added a license plate recess too.  Very much better for night driving.  We did the rear lights as well and added a set of high turn/stop/tail lights for visability over the toad.

They did have a vertical and a diagonal option but the horizontal option is nearly 100%.  It makes the coach look more modern as well.

Finally got the anti-gravity levitation device working, so took the wheels off. Now to work on the braking part.

I have found the Xtreme lights adequate but not overly bright.  I've never had a light burn out but have replaced four of six for reflector corrosion(after 8 years!)

Headlights in this day and age are like computers used to be years ago,as soon as you buy one it's about obsolete because
bettter ones come out all the time.Unless Xtreme pre drills their fiberglass and for the money they charge for this conversion you
should be able to get any headlight you want, not just the ones they want.

Roger do you mind sharing the cost of the light conversion front and rear — they look really good

I was quoted at $3,500.00 for the conversion I have the appointment for. That is why the brightness question. I do drive at night, always have. That is just for the headlights, the fog lights would be $2,000.00 more

Prices quotes here are about right.  In big round numbers ... $3,500 for the headlights, $2,000 for the driving/fog lights and license plate recess, $2,500 for the rear lights, upper lights weren't much, stainless housings, same lamps.  If Rance had to make fiberglass resesses it would have been more. The front end damage from then the lady clipped me was $2,000.  The new steps were $2,500.  And while Rance was at he fixed a bunch of little cracks and there was painting involved.

In order of value to us ... Steps, High Rear lights, headlights, tail lights, driving/fog lights/license recess.

The steps are sturdy and safe. Worth every penny.
I can see the drivers behind us react much faster with the more visible high lights.  I have an electronic module to add that will make the all of the brakes lights flash a user programmable number of times and duration and then stay on steady.
I drove through KC at night with the old lights, never again. The new ones make driving at night possible and safe.

Those seem to be very reasonable prices given the amount of work involved.
