Air compressor oil

Gentlemen I had the air compressor replaced when I bought my FT almost 2 years ago. But I don't think I understand the oil system for the compressor. I have a sizable tank on the left side of my engine compartment, and it has a sight glass, which is so dark I can't see a thing. My question- is that tank the oil reservoir for the air compressor? If not what the heck is it and where is the oil reservoir for the air compressor? We are leaving Saturday and I'm trying to do my diligence before we shove off so I would like to be able to check the oil level for the air compressor.

Mike, I think you are referring to the hydraulic oil tank. Is it cylindrical? That's for your steering and hyd fans.
Are you referring to your eng air compressor? That gets oil from your engine. Hope this helps.

The hydraulic oil tank should also have a dipstick that on my coach is part of a black plastic cap.  Unscrew the cap several turns and pull it up.  There are no threads on the cap or tank.  Tightening the cap expands a rubber plug. There are also 3 filters in the tank and you can find info about that with a forum search.
