While the maximum system voltage (like in a solar field) is 1500 volts, they can be treated just like a normal 36 volt panel and with four on the roof,  series-parallel wiring could be done to bring 70-75 volts down to the controller. That gives a 1480 watt potential and they are the same size as ours. Nice panels. 4 panel minimum is perfect.

Exactly, but the difference is about 3 or 4 percent or so not as big of a deal as it first seems. I'm very happy with 1140 watts up on top but 1280 is even better. A mono in the same size would probably put out 340-360 watts but I've not seen any close to the same price. Many commercial panels have a 25 year warranty and the ones that don't do warrant the output for 25 years. Things to check.

Ours came from extras from a huge solar field installation in the Mojave. No warranty of any kind but they look like new and output has not changed almost ten years later.

This guy is good in the Houston area, no tax, discount over 5, but he will not ship and you must pick them up. He is a grid-tie dealer and has  about 30000 watts on his roof and in his yard, needless to say he gets a check from the electric company every month.350-360 watt new mono Solar Panels. The prices are very good.  I am concerned about roof area available.  The panels mentioned are 16% effeciency.

The latest panels are 21% making them almost 25% smaller for the same output plus or minus.

Yes they are more money.
