Aqua Hot Lesson #2

I enjoy the discussion regarding the pros and cons of having Aqua Hot. Each to their own. Since mine came with one, I wanted to learn as much as I could about them. The first day after we bought our coach, ( we are the fourth owners ), we proceeded to put a few CB's into the unit. Worked ok. Had it serviced by John C at Quartzite last January. He fixed a mixing valve problem. Worked fine. Didn't fire up when we started our journey the first of October. Posted problem on the forum. Rudy said change the nozzle. Lesson #1......fire it up once a month and let it run !!! Changed the nozzle ( my first time ), and it worked fine. Until a few days ago. Wouldn't fire up. Called Rudy. He got right back to me. Got under the coach this morning, and Rudy walked me through a check with a voltmeter.  Lesson #2. Now I know how to check the controller for power. Took 5 minutes to fix the problem. Just had to unplug, then replug the B plug behind the controller. Fired right up. Nice sound. We are blessed, with a gem, in this forum. How often does someone who makes their living, with special knowledge, share that knowledge with the masses?? Not too often. I am very grateful that we have Rudy to guide us through the Aqua Hot maze. We are VERY fortunate. Thanks, Rudy. We can't wait to meet you, in person, and take you out for a great meal. Like Rudy says....the more you know about the system, the easier it gets!!!

Changing the nozzle and removing the combustion chamber and brushing it and the chamber inside keeps them happy if done annually.

Running you AH once a month on diesel will make those annual maintenance period stretch to 2 or 3 years.  Service when it needs it. That's what Rudy tells me.

Yes I second that. Rudy answered some questions I had about the Prevost fuel discount and the NAPA discount, so not only is he a wiz at Aqua Hot, but knows some other stuff as well.  Great guy to talk to.
I would buy him a strawberry waffle with lots of whipped cream !

Don't think NAPA sells AH parts. The discount is for other items.

Bill,

The NAPA discount card is a perk of being a member of the Prevost Community Forum.  It gives 20 to 30 percent discount on truck parts.

Best purchase price on Aqua Hot parts is from Roger Berke at the following website:
