Aquahot heat is awesome!

In the short time we've had our coach I have never used the aqua hot heat, to be honest I didn't even know how it worked as a furnace. Found out after talking to Rudy and Roger that something wasn't hooked up right. A question here, a call to Aubrey at MOT and a little investigation of my own and it is working now... 100 times better than the heat pump on the roof air... 34* this morning and this coach is toasty warm!!!

The AH is the only thing I miss on my new coach.

I agree, this is my first aquahot, and the even/quiet heat is amazing in all 3 zones. Rudy serviced my aquahot in NAC and did a great job, no more smoke and it purrs now.

Here is an easy way to improve comfort in the LR with an AH.
Aqua Hot Dash Blower Fan Override
This makes a big difference in the uniformity of heat in the LR and reduces the noise from the big front blower.

I've parked next to a lot of coaches with AH, most sound perfect outside. I have also parked next to a lot of them that had problems, some going into the multiple CB range to repair. It seems too many ignore the preventive maintenance needed for these great units.

I had many customers that bought tools and parts from AH to do their own services, with no complaints, all thought it was quite easy for them. Most paid for and watched one service first.

They are wonderful till you have to fix them$$$$......Voltage hogs too. Just my 2 cents. Probably because of all the ones I had to fix, laying on my back with diesel up my arms.

We were winter users. The large temps swings and the dry air and noise generated were not enjoyable features of the older propane furnaces.

Obviously the less you need the heaters the less the differences are needed or noticed.

There are a few of us that have primus heat. A system fired by propane. Two Swedish boilers heat 50/50 glycol and send it throughout the coach with baseboard registers. Oderless and quiet. Three zones give even heat. The floors and bags are also heated. Very rare and efficient. No longer available and parts are hard to find.

Seriously, the even warm temps of aqua hots are awesome. The capability to pre heat the engine is a good feature.

We have a blue flame heater. Blows you out of the coach if you want, uses no electricity. Cheap to run.Have a less then a $150.00 invested

Flame is beautiful to look at. Tucks away in the cabinet.

Larry is correct, we have different tastes and needs.

I just removed my absorption refrigerator and will install the residential unit this weekend. This leaves me with a spare propane line that I could use for a blue flame heater. Does the 10,000 BTU do the job? I already put a shut off valve on but thinking maybe a quick disconnect inside. How do you feed your blue flame?

Yes,Love my blue flame. I used a disconnect, and a shut off valve. Went in the basement and tapped into the gas line to the W/H.

Have a 20' line that rolls up into the cabinet. I can move it from front to back.

Removed all the drawers under the top drawer in the hutch. Fits perfect. We didn't use those drawers anyway.

I leave the window cracked, and the vent cracked.

All winter and the main LP tank is 3/4 full. We dry camp a lot.

Frightened to consume oxygen in the coach. Yes I know it has a low oxygen alarm.

Bob has a point. As with any open flame. a vent or window has to be cracked to let oxygen in. Have heard of several who didn't, catastrophic results.

10,000 BTU is a quarter of the A-H capacity, so only viable in southern climes.

That might be, but have stayed numerous times in single digit numbers along the coast. Had to run it in second gear, or it blew you out of the coach.

Heater is rated to heat 250-499 SF.

Our coach inside is 288 SF.

No worries. I post ad's for stuff for sale with complete price and info. Then I get "How much" Lot's of people comment without reading the post. Drives me nuts.

I care too, so with all these comments, people will see how important venting is.

The heater has stickers all over it.

It also has a low oxygen shut off

I used to use both of the entry step 8d batteries for the house and add a third one in the engine bay for the motor.

I have seen many coaches long ago with ceramic type furnaces in them.

Quiet heat. Burns oxygen
