Generator Starting button

We presently own a Foretravel 2002 U320 and are having trouble starting the generator from inside the coach.  After leaving the repair shop it worked fine and after spending the night at a Wall Mart parking lot I turned the unit on from the inside and later had to turn it off from the outside. Any suggestions?

You probably have several options for starting the gen set.  Try starting and stopping from all points and see if you can isolate the problem to a specific switch or other control component.  I had a circuit board go out on our gen set and had to have it replaced.  I thought it was a switch at first, but further testing proved it to be the circuit board.  Have a great day  ----  Fritz

Tom on my 1999 FT I had a problem where the inside switches wouldn't work and ended up changing the latching relay inside of the control box on the relay.  My generator is a 10Kw Powertech so yours might be similar.  I also had a lingering problem with the generator randomly shutting down which turned out to be bad wires.  See this post:  Generator not running
