Furnace and Duo-Therm

Now my next problem, first outing of season can be rough.

Earlier this month when we had some real cold weather (for Texas) I left the furnace on at 45° and didnt have any frozen pipes but it did run out of propane.

I fill up with propane on my way out yesterday and it started getting cool last night so I tired to turn the furnace on but the thermostat no longer shows the furnace just fan, cool, and heat strips.  I have run the reset procedure probably 15 times, I have gone out and cycled the switch on the blower several times.  I have cycled all the breakers again but then I got to thinking the furnace and blower are on the 12v system?

Is there a fuse someplace that I have not seen yet?

Are all the other propane appliances working?

Have you plugged and unplugged all the phone type connectors a few times, possibly with some contact cleaner sprayed on the connections?    We haven't had propane heat in a long time but that procedure  has helped our thermostat find lost devices in the past.

Seems suspicious that it occurred after running out of propane.    Does your salesman's switch kill all the power to that?  I can't remember.  We have had killing the power help in a reset.

All coaches are different, but here's the power for our furnace (the yellow wire on the middle right). Has a 20 amp fuse, which started doing strange things, might check the fuse connection. I'd still 'bet the board'.

My thermostat had the same problem only it didn't show Zone 2, but turning it OFF and back ON would bring up the readout.  I cleaned all the contacts first like Rick suggested and later replaced all the RJ12 plugs and connectors, the thermostat (a loaner) and finally the board.  The board did the trick!

No, Mike, the location of your furnace fuse is UNIQUE.  Much lower voltage drop than the OE wiring that went through smaller gauge wire from house battery by back right tire then through the 12 VDC fuse panel by the foot of the bed then to the furnace.

Curious-- what strange things is a fuse doing? Please PM so we don't take the tread off course.

Thanks RIck  I just tried the plug in the thermostat 5 times and no luck.  there is not one I can find on the furnace board.
