Toad towing opinions needed

I recently purchased a VersaHaul motorcycle carrier to haul my Ruckus. The versa haul is designed with a class3/4 hitch. It moved the toad back another 18 inches.
What ya'll think.....too far back..?

yes it does Bruce......but I feel it will make it tail heavy  Honda Element

We have one and use it for our Honda sh150i and tow our Equinox behind it. I haven't had any issues with the greater distance between the motorhome and the Equinox.

Our sh150i weighs about 300 ib. What does your Ruckus weigh?

Do not see a problem.  Only weight is the bike and carrier.  Car does not add to it.  Longer hitch length means car won't cut corners.

Need to make sure that the towbar on coach is 0-4" higher then where bar connects to toad.  If any higher or lower then level then need to make adjustment.  Remember that when you let off the throttle of coach the toad will be pushing on the bar.

Every ball mount and receiver I have seen has some slop in it. With the much longer length, the movement out at the end will be magnified. It would nice to have a couple of flat bars to go from both ends of the carrier at an angle through the Fiberglas bumper to the frame. With a sudden flat tire on the toad, it would be a lot more stable and resist bending anything. The little tabs seen in the photo would be a good point to connect to.

I'm using the Ready Brake which also adds about 18". No big deal except getting in and out of my driveway. Before I added the Ready Brake I could raise the rig up all the way and get in and out without dragging. The Ready Brake digs a nice trench. Now, I have to take the tow bar off to get in and out. This is a major pia but one does what one must. 

In my case, the 18" allows me to open the engine cover when the tow bar is stowed which is a nice feature. Anyhow, other than that I don't see any issue.
