Leaking valve stem leads to new tires

I noticed my outside passenger dually was losing air and it was significant-30 lbs.  I pumped it up to 100 and in 2 weeks sitting it again is down 35 lbs.- time to do something.  I decided to check my other tires and found they are all 6 years old.  I went to the tire shop in the area I used to deal with years ago to get 4- 295/75 22.5 tires.  He said they had Aurora UF03 tires- a private label brand made by Hankook.  At $315 per tire the price is right so I now have 4 new tires on my rear ( fronts were replaced in December) with all new valve stems.  Now we are good to go......................... ^.^d

It is interesting that my regular check of tire pressure found a minor problem that could easily have turned into a major one.  Inspect your tires, pressure, etc- they are the only thing between you and the road.

Just curious......do you use balance beads in the tires and tire pressure sensors on the valve stems?

Twig- I use neither.  I use a visual inspection and my tire pressure gauge.
