Coolant hose replacement

I am about to make a 5000+ mile trip on our move to Alaska and think I want to change the radiator hoses...anyway any of y'all have a 2000 u270 with 8.3 Cummins and have replaced the hoses and have the part numbers? Thanks

I don't see any reason to change all the coolant hoses.  Look at each carefully and replace any that look bad.  I've changed several that looked suspicious, but never had one that leaked first.

If you are going to replace one hose and drain your coolant and add new coolant and you have some original hoses to me it's
better to have peace of mind and spend a few bucks more and get all new hoses,if one is worn or weak they all are,it may look
good but be as brittle as glass, that may be another one of these circumstances(if you rapidly lose coolant)that causes a "million
mile engine"to need a overhaul.

To add to the "replace while easy", assuming you are using one of the modern long life coolants, you need to verify that the HOSES WILL BE GOOD FOR THE NEXT 6 YEARS.

That is the next coolant change interval.

I saw a wander lodge that the owner had put all blue silicone hoses on. Sure popped for looks even though it's not the subject.

I think John44 has a good source for those hoses and also the very tricky to fit retarder cooler hoses in silicone.

I've gone to using Otiker clamps on most of my marine stuff these days.  Stainless of course.  Don't know if they are approved for silicone but if so would provide a neater and less expensive installation than constant torque clamps required.

Might want to check to see if your coach came OEM with silicone hoses. They should outlast the coach. Many have been painted over.

So I'm dragging this one back out. I went to Napa and another parts place with the numbers from beam alarm with no luck on a match maybe y'all can help I'm quickly running out of time so I took a couple pictures of the ones I think I should change before the big trip...a gates number would be great or a number that crosses...the p numbers won't cross

Darren, I got all my hoses from siliconehose.com like John44 said.
The hose in the first picture is called a 'bump' hose. The 3rd pic showed a reducer hose.
They are very good to work with over the phone.
