Dash Fans

One of the things I really miss about Grand Villas (besides their looks of course!) is the great squirrel cage overhead fan that would blow a nice breeze on the driver and passenger while motoring along on a not too hot day. Anyhow, when I recently installed a windshield shade I got rid of the Rosen visors. Installed a couple of fans in their place. I had an old Foretravel rocker switch which I installed over the driver's head for off/on.

I am using the same fans that we have in the bedroom. (Fan). These things are sold under many brand names with prices all over the place. On our last rig I installed much more expensive plastic ones in the bedroom but I think these things are just as good.

Where did you get them and are they wired to 12v or 110?

12 volt from Amazon. The link is in my post. You can get them on eBay and they are commonly available at truck stops.

What did you do with the Rosen visors?  They are pretty hard to find these days - might be worth a few bucks to another Forum member.

(I don't need them - our coach came with them.  I use mine every time I drive the coach.)

Maybe his are mounted behind the seats like mine are.

I'm hanging onto them for now. You never know. Also, I have been burned twice here by members (not current) who accepted stuff for free and refused to pay the shipping. Bad form.

We used very similar fans, two speed, mounted on a cherry base with an embedded steel weight.  Each has a power connection plug  and we have a 12v Y shaped extension cord that plugs into the 12v power port (formerly known as a cig lighter socket).  Big wire to minimize voltage loss.  These work very well especially for defrost.  They are movable to where they are needed,  They work well for a personal fan as well.
