Shore Power Reel

We have a 2007 Nimbus 340 with a Shoreline RV 5036  power  reel. The brushes/contacts are damaged causing power leakage from one leg to the next. Is there anyway to repair or replace the brushes?
This exact model reel is obsolete. Does anyone know the manufacturer and/or model number of the recommended replacement reel?

Bruce,

If you can find a couple of the 5036 you may be able to make one.  I have not been able to source replacement brushes or brush holders.  Check your P/M box.

All electric reels have limitations. Consider alternatives.

If you can't repair it, I bought one here.

That's the one I had in our 300. Foretravel installed it by mistake. I had asked them to give me a quote on a power reel and at the end of the day the tech says, "How do you like your new reel?" Whaaaa... They ended up heavily discounting it. Unfortunately they did a lousy job installing it and I had to redo it when I got home. It was a good reel though.

While not compact I had a repair buddy with a new glendinning power cord reel made for a Monaco.

Flexible cable master cord coils in a drum. No slip ring.  Lost the hose reel to but in the glendinning sideways in the compartment.
