Inexpensive TV mount

When we bought the coach it came with a small Samsung TV.  It basically sat, unmounted, in the front TV cabinet.  For awhile we used it on the dash, but it is a pain to store and move around when needed.  So I mounted it as shown in the attached pics.  This is a temporary mount since we plan to get a larger TV down the road.  The nice thing about this method of mounting the TV is that none of the screws go through the outside of the frame, so it can be reused down the line.  And it cost less than $5.  The top of the mount is 3/4" plywood.  The area not filled by the TV is covered with 1/8" particle board painted flat black.  That also serves to support the TV from below.  Connections to the TV are made through the front driver's side cabinet for the antenna, utility bay RV park connection, and HDMI cable.  The latter is used for viewing recorded videos from Amazon Prime.  Pat can store an amazing number of programs and movies on her iPhone.  Hopefully, the lack of vibration damping while underway will not be a problem.

Keith...  See the attached.  Transferring the mounting hole pattern on the back of the TV to the 3/4" plywood was done by rubbing a pencil on a sheet of paper taped over the holes to give an accurate pattern.  Then I centered that on the plywood and drilled the holes.  The screw thread for the Samsung TV was metric, 4mm I think.  Once the board was mounted to the TV the rest was easy.  One has to make sure the mounting board is not too long for the opening of the cabinet.  The opening was 21.5" and I cut the plywood to 20"(luck).  The mounting holes which attach the plywood to the frame need to be predrilled so the frame wood is not split by the screws.  The frame is only 1/2" thick, but the 4 attachment screws are about 3/8" deep.

I made the bottom our of a piece of 1/8" particle board I found laying around the shop (my neighbor's in Anacortes).  I shaped another scrap of wood to fit into the cavity where the TV stand attached.  Once I had a good fit, I just glued it to the particleboard (but not to the TV) and then painted the front with flat black spray paint.  The particleboard was then attached to the frame with small machine screws.
