Voltage drop

My buddy said my gens power output is problematic.

Ok.  Pulled the coach around my house to work on it and clean it up a bit and started the gen and turned on the a/c panel watched my dual legged blue sea meter show the volts at 117 on both legs and a few tenths of amps and 62 cycles ac.

Then after a minute I watched both legs  volts drop to zero.

WTH?

Turned off the ac panel then the gen.

After a minute restarted the gen.  Volts came up.  Turned on the airs.

Everything worked normally.  Ran it for a couple of hours.

Stayed perfect?

Voltage regulator?  I have a new uninstalled one here.

Jeff at power tech says he needs to walk me though the install.

Waiting for a new 6207-2RSJ bearing to show up for me to install also

Thanks for any experience.....
