2002 U270 fuel tank

Hello does anyone else have a 2002 with an additional fuel tank added on top the standard tank ? Have 3 lines  exiting the top of the fuel tank on the driver side 5/8 , 1/2 and 3/8

Question  Are these the only hose connections on the tank or are there connections in the center of the tank ?

 It appears to me for this to work the pick up would have to fish through that 90° attachments and drop into the larger tank ?

looks just like mine.  I think it is OEM.  I assumed it was the way to get the total volume required.

 Hello thank you for your response have you ever changed your fuel lines yet, I was under the idea that this was an add-on to get an additional 30 gallons of fuel to make 175 gallon tank

How the heck do you get the filler nozzle into that filler opening?  Looks like it is really close up against the "ceiling" of the compartment.  Is there a small fuel filler door that opens above the big storage bay door?

 It appears to be in the same exact location as the other side ,  can fill from either side of the couch

My tanks are filled from outside the coach. I would not like to be sitting inside doing it might spill some on couch.

 This is how my gas tank looks on the passenger side of the coach .my question was specifically for someone that has the exact model and gas tank as I described above .if they've ever changed the fuel lines?  And are the three lines that I have the only lines that exit the tank ? Thank you 🎈

My build date is Aug 01.  I have not changed the lines and they show no signs of any cracking.  I have checked the fittings at the generator and the engine.  I think FOT may have changed the type of line material in 2002.  I will continue to check regularly.

 My coach was built in January 2002 my fuel lines are Aeroquip push lok they show absolutely no signs of deterioration also. looking to add a fass fuel pump in line .the fitting and location if in fact this is the main engine suction line would be perfect .  Just like everyone else on the forum in time (I) We will figure it out , thank you 🎈

I have a 2002 U270 and my tanks look the same as yours.  Have not replaced the fuel lines and and don't believe PO did either.  I always assumed the tank being in two parts made it easier to take out or put in fuel tanks.

Looks like the curved regular nozzle would work but probably not the high volume truck stop nozzle.

I've used both regular pump nozzles and high speed ones with no problems other than hitting head on doors and I have same set up.

 That will be something that I plan on doing in the future.  Change the position on which the bay door opens.  (Maybe called bus style )
