Manablock leak

Here is the detailed version of our leak.
We went to pick up our coach since the Aqua Hot was installed.

It works fine all zones.

So I asked him to check to see if the plumbing worked, hot and cold.

So he hooked the hose up to a faucet at the shop and turned it on.

We went inside and there was hot and cold water. The toilet worked.

So we went outside the coach and saw water coming out of the manifold.

He blamed it on not being winterized. Which may be the case.

But at the same time there was no regulator on the spicket. I would assume that since they work on RV'S that they have a regulator somewhere up the line. But I don't know for sure.

And another thing.

In the manual it says the power to the pump should be off and the valve should be open.

In the coach in the bathroom the light for the pump was on but the switch for the valve was not lit and we couldn't get it lit. There is a switch outside. I'm not sure if that was on or off.

Could that have anything to do with it springing a leak.  What if the switch is not on when your trying to fill the tank.

The leak is right below the fitting where the top right hosevgoes to the aqua hot.

As a side note he did have the AquaHot on and heating the coach before we got there with no outside source of water..

So there must have been water in the system, but maybe with little pressure.

And at that time there was no water leaks.

A little too much information at one time for slow people like myself. First, try unhooking the outside source of water, turn water pump switch on, see if you have hot and cold water. Check outside and see if you have a leak. Also turn faucets off and see if pump continues to run. If it's just a fitting that's leaking, either tighten or replace. Have the RV repairman work through it with you. Hope this helps.

The Aqua Hot heating system is independent of water supply. Also there is an internal water pressure regulator on your coach. If there was water in the Manibloc and it froze from cold it definitely could  cause a leak.

To fill the tank via the solenoid, you have to set several valves, at least in my coach you do.
The leak could be a number of things. Gasket on the manablock fitting, not tight enough, etc. Pressure shouldn't do it.
Good reason to run off the pump and water in the tank vs city water. Or at least my opinion anyway.
Check the fitting to see if the gasket is bad, or if the manablock is cracked.
Take a picture of where the water is leaking from.
Make sure the valves are set correctly and the switches are right to fill tank.
As said, the water tank and maniblock is separate from the aqua hot heating system.

Rick, a picture is worth a thousand words as I have no idea where your leak is from your description.  But is sounds like it has nothing to do with the Aquahot and would tend to concur with the tech's diagnosis...improper winterization.  I had several leaks when I acquired my coach due to ice-cracked fittings.

I had a leak in the body of the manablock. I asked the Foretravel tech at RnR in Spokane Wa. if it was from freezing. He said it didn't appear from the leak that it was from freezing. Thought it was more from vibration/stress of some sort. But who knows.

I wonder if the material it's made from can harden with the passage of time.

I got a new manablock from FT.  So that's ok. Now we have fix a leak in the fittings near the water pump.
I hope that's it.
