Generator warning lite and a kathumping sound as the gender was winding down2n

When shutting down after getting a red warning light on the dashboard, I heard a kathumping sound. Also the generator AC has been decreasing over the last year.
Any ideas?

You need to post more information. What size, what year to get any useful help

Previous posts indicated 1997 U320 as the coach.

With reports of decreased output and a thunking, put my bet on a crashed rotor due to a failed end bearing.  Wondering how many hours on the end bearing?
