Aqua-hot overflow tank.

I would like to move the overflow tank near the Aqua-hot. I think I need to change the overflow hose it looks bad and the aqua-hot is
not drawing antifreeze back in. Where the overflow tank is now is where I would like to put the controller for the solar collectors.

That shouldn't be a problem also put on a new radiator cap on the aqua hot.

I suggested this earlier by PM.
Tank probably needs to be at the same height it is and it needs an overflow hose.  Rudy replaces the tubing if it gets hard, stiff or brittle.  Make sure your AH main tank is full.  Let it cool off and open the cap on top and stick your finger in.  It should hit coolant.  If not add.  Probably why it is not sucking back from the expansion tank or an air leak.

I agree with all of the above suggestions, high as possible, new radiator cap, black heater hose (which stands up to the heat of the radiator hose barb) with hose clamp at each end and heater coolant tank lipping full.  When burner cycles off at temp, fill overflow tank to hot line.

I pulled the tank out and It was full again. Problem is the pickup tube in the tank had fallen off. What is the best glue to glue it on.

The pickup hose in the bottle or the overflow tube on the AH tank?

Yes, the overflow tank pickup tube. I am glad it is that simple.

Old Guy,  Remove the fitting at the top of the tank and insert the straw tube into the fitting firmly.  It has always stayed from then on but a dap of glue is fine to.  Reinsert the fitting into the tank, connect the overflow hose and you are done.

I have done that, used a little silicone. Tank is moved and just got to get some hose and the job is finished. I'm sure glad I was
moving the tank or I might have missed the problem. I clean the inside of the tank while it was out and it is really easy to see the level now.
