reservior

my 1994 U280  Cummins C8.3 40' Unihome side radiator, has 2 oil reservoirs when looking through the rear engine hatch, one on the left, and one on the right, both look identical, I thinking one is for the fan, the other steering....my owners manual doesn't say which is which, they are both labeled "Delo 400 15W40"....anybody know which is which?

thanks in advance

Most have different size reservoirs.  Larger is for fans.

If the same size, go to the pump for the fans and trace the larger diameter hose back to its reservoir.

On our '93 U280 (C8.3L) the tank on the driver side is for the cooling fan system.  My cooling system hydraulic pump is mounted right below the alternator.  If yours is the same, you should be able to see the big supply hose going from the reservoir to the pump.

No research needed. The drivers side is fans, passenger side is power steering.
