Replacing Rear View Mirror Bracket

I am in need of replacing a rear view mirror mounting bracket due to "pitting" of the chrome.  The entire surface is in bad shape.

It looks to be a universal mount, not left hand or right hand.  Is this a correct determination?

It looks pretty straight forward as far as a swap out. Four screws to coach, one bolt to mirror, reconnect wiring.  Am I missing anything?

Thanks.

They are not universal brackets, at least on our 99' U270. Driver's side is mounted on a different part of the curvature of the end cap, and so the radius is different. I originally thought the mirror placement left to right was symmetrical, because it just looks right :o , and was surprised to find out that the driver's side was further away from the center line than the passenger's side.

As Don says, they are different L/R. I verified this. Also, far as I know, they're no longer available. Billy jack at FOT checked stock, and talked to Ramco, about a chrome replacement for our RH mount. No go. I didn't ask him to check on the LH, or the polished version, so maybe those are still available?.

When Lynn was restoring jukeboxes, he used to use Paul's Chrome for chrome plated die cast.  Because they did good work.

I should have mentioned, that's what I plan to do. I'll probably use Royal Plating in Tucson.
