Board Movement (above windshield)

I guess we have an issue. We are at MCD and the installer says he's never seen movement like this in a Foretravel. Any ideas why this board is moving?
We are going to add some brackets to strengthen it for the shade, but need to know if we have a bigger issue.

Note: this is the board above the windshield.

It's a common issue. There are several threads on it. Here's mine. repair for MCD

I didn't notice the problem until I was about to install the MCD shade. In the attached photo, the arrow points to where that board should sit. If you have to you can go ahead and install the shade and fix the issue at your leisure.

I was just thinking. I ended up tacking it in place with three fiberglass patches formed like brackets. Might be easier than what MCD has planned. I also did a bead of 5200 but it was not really necessary.
