Towing 2011 Jeep Wrangler using brake buddy ?

We are planning to tow our 2011 Jeep Wrangler unlimited behind our motorhome.
We used a brake buddy in our other one that had to be plugged into the Jeep cigarette lighter.
Manual says to disconnect the battery.
Anyone have experience towing a 2011?
Thanks, Susan

Howdy Susan and Bob,
We tow a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and , like yours, the manual says to disconnect the battery.  We also use a Brake Buddy.
  What we do:
I installed a Quick Battery disconnect similar to this:
Amazon.com: Ampper Top Post Battery Disconnect Switch, Battery Master Switch...
Ran a separate 12vdc (with fuse) outlet direct from the battery similar to this:
Amazon.com: EPAUTO 12V 12' Foot Heavy Duty Extension Cord with Cigarette...
3 Pack -12V Water-resistant Add-A-Circuit Blade Type Inline Fuse holder with...
that is used to plug in the Brake Buddy.
Of course we cut off the male end of 12vdc extension and wired direct to the battery.

I like to think the battery disconnect offers some theft deterrent when overniting in a Walmart, rest area, or similar environment.
YMMV, Dave A
