Voltage regulator?

While waiting for a lowboy tow at a pilot station we ran both airs at max drawing 35 amps.

The voltage showed at 106 volts.  As the day progressed the display rose to 109.

Was 111 outside.

Seems the gen is capable of 85 amps.

Not a electric expert.  Does the symptoms show I need a replacement voltage regulator?

I am experiencing similar issues, take a look at: Topic: Powertech Generator starts at 124V but then drops to 110V after 20 minutes - reply #8 BBeane mentioned you could be suffering a power drop over a bad transfer switch contact. Someone else mentioned an adjustment screw on the voltage regulator that can be used to increase/decrease voltage that (also in thread). They cautioned to be mindful of the adjustment screw sensitivity and turn turn off your electrical devices (AC units, etc) until the VR adjustment has been completed. Or try contacting Jeff Jones (jeffj@ptse.net) at Powertech.

The big warning is that one voltage regulator is plug and play. Yes it has an adjustable pot for voltage.
The other regulator requires proper positioning of jumpers on it.  If done wrong.  Out come CB.
Jeff at power tech will match you up with proper VR.

At this point I would also make sure the engine is running at the precise RPM,if you can get one of those mechanical tachs and check rpm.

Good suggestions all.  Thanks

The gen under load is exactly 60 hertz on the blue seas gauge on both legs.

New PTS
