Entry Door Remote

my coach comes with a remote which is neat but i cant get it to work. i change the battery.
Do fobs get old and stop working .is there a box somewhere that needs attention.
when i bought the coach the remote would work after  many pushes and i taught to myself  maybe it just needs a battery.
Any tips.

Ps.  I finally have time to work on my coach and there will be many fun topics.
And thank you for all your big hearts when it comes to sharing Knowledge.

You need to look for a box called tri-mark on the coach. That is what the keyfob talks to.  Take keyfob back apart and make sure that you have the battery in the correct way. I am assuming you verified the battery is good and new.

Does your coach have the keypad on the outside? If so does that work?  That is also controlled from the tri-mark.

Never say never, but I have never seen a keyfob loose programing.

the Trimark box
wouldn't be behind the cluster panel?

I think that it is located behind the panel in front of the passenger seat that pulls out.

That's where mine is and I don't think it's a Tri Mark either.

It is also possible to burn out the actuators if the fob button is pushed for an extended period of time. Make sure they work.

Does the switch on the driver's side panel work the door bolt?

The remote control box and relays are pretty rugged and will last a long time.  The remote controls are not so tough.  We went through 4 of them.  Make sure the battery voltage is up there. It is a 12v battery.  And clean the battery contacts. I use an eraser on a pencil.  If that is all good and they still don't work take it apart further and clean the contact points where the rubber switch buttons press with alcohol and a q-tip and then just a tiny bit of electrically conductive grease.

I finally gave up on mine and put in a new control box with new key fobs.  I also added an Alexa enabled device so that I can just say "Alexa, lock the coach" or "Alexa, unlock the coach" from anywhere.

yes the switch  by the door works.
problem is that it also turns the dead bolt on  and I have not tried to undo the  dead bolt manually and then lock it from the outside
