What is the towing capacity of the 91 GV 6V92?

I just can't find the answer anywhere online or in the manual.

Towing capacity = GCWR-GVWR

From the model plate the GVWR is 30000 lbs

Where can I find GCWR?

Can it tow a 4500 lbs car using a tow dolly?

I've seen a U300 down in the valley towing a long construction trailer with a Case 580 on it plus a lot of other stuff. Probably outweighted the coach. Can't imagine a 4500 lb car and dolly straining the hitch. Cooling on a long grade in summer might bring the temps up.

The '91 has a retarder as it was one year before the Jake.

David kb0zke flat tows a 4500lb MKZ, around with no apparent issues.

Our 3100lb TOAD could be considered flyweight category.

We made a trip back east without a car, then few months later made the same trip towing the car.
Temp readings were the same on both trips.

Based on the link, the GCWR is 36000, so the towing capacity is 36000-30000=6000 lbs.
Should be able to handle a 4500 lbs car.

Your photo should be on the cover of some RV magazine! Is that a water tank under the PU bed? I laughed all during lunch. And it's pulling a trailer too.

If you leave the tires low and time the lights right, who need brakes?

I tow 8-9k quite a bit with my Cat 267hp
Easy on the tongue weight
Anything that you can get ona dolly sub 7000 should be fine.
Not fast.
Many of these older buses are used by racers towing box trailers, well over the combinedstated weight.
I'm not sure that I would load up the tongue of the Foretravel chassis.
Dolly should be fine.

I have never weighed my coach, Im sure Ill get picked on a little for that. I hook up to a 28' enclosed trailer with the racecar and all the fixins that go along with it. The trailer weighs about 5k empty (so the the tag says) car is about 2100 +fuel, generator, toolbox, tires and everything else I cram in.  I hook it all together and take off. It handles it way better than my ford f-350, side wind and all. I keep a close eye on the temp gauge pulling the hills. Keep in mind I pulled my radiator in 2017 and had it cleaned, it was 30% plugged they said. I love this big ol coach, shes also a workhorse.

Ours also has never been on a scale since we owned it. I hook up and go and like you, watch the water temp in summer.

Me too.  That Beamalarm chart I linked in Reply #1 says our 1993 U280 can only pull 2000 pounds.  :o  That's just crazy.

Guess what?  I regularly pull twice that and never had a bit of trouble.  (Not that I am recommending anyone else do this)  8)

'93 U300, DD 6V92, 40 feet here. I pull a 4,000# Jeep and don't even know it's there.

Thanks everybody for your info. Based on your guys input, I think the coach should be able to handle the tow weight.
