bedroom thermostat

My bedroom air conditioner  and heat strip in my bedroom works great. The thermostat no longer will shut off at any settings. It keeps running. The one is discontinued that I have. Any suggestions? I don't really want to change anything at the unit if possible.

Does it have a reset?  If so you might give that a try first.
