Sounds like the brass check valve at the hose reel is stuck, might give it a little love tap.

I know the wet bay is getting a remodel real soon.  The bulkhead was repaired 3 years ago.

Was having the same problem, cured by attaching the hose reel to water supply for a minute or so.  Since adding the quick fill to the tank I never use the reel.

Just the opposite with me. My reel hose is connected to the direct fill at the tank. The hose is pretty long so I seldom have to use another hose.

Same here. My hose reel goes across the coach via Pex to my 3 filters, then back across via PVC to a hand valve and into the tank. One valve to 1/2 turn to fill, when done, turn valve back, all good to go. I did put a check valve in via a sharkbite connection.  On the other side of the valve is a connection to the base of the hot water side of the maniblock, where once I finish the wiring connection to the old fill switch will pump hot water back into the tank. to precharge the hot water line. I'm being lazy on that, but really need to finish it, use to much cold water to get hot at the sink.
