93 GV 240 TORSILASTIC, NEED FRONT SHOCKS

Friend has this unit and we need to cross the Bilsteen number. Has anyone any numbers as they seem not to be available up here in Canada.

 I have an extra set of new Bilsteins . They are 12.5 short and 17.5 long .  3/4 eye on both ends.  75$ shipped .

Mike. The coach is at a shop here  so do not know the measurements to check if same as yours. I will call and see if they match . Then will get back to you

Mike, the numbers from shop are B46-847 and another #6-1005.
Anything like that as I cannot Cross it here.

Just looked at Bilstein motorhome shocks online and this # comes up for this GV
24-196635. Is this tge same #

For 1993 U240

Front shock length:
Shock pin to pin length: At ride height of 32": 18.05". At 33": 18.95"
Therefore:
18.05" minus 4" allowable suspension travel on compression with coach at minimum ride height spec= 14.05" Compressed length (or less)
18.95" plus 3 ½" allowable suspension travel on extension with coach at maximum ride height spec= 22.45" Extended length (or more)


Rear Shock Length: Shock pin to pin length: At ride height of 32": 18.65". At 33": 19.61"
18.65" minus 4" allowable suspension travel on compression with coach at minimum ride height spec= 14.65" Minimum length or less)
19.61" plus 3 ½" allowable suspension travel on extension with coach at maximum ride height spec= 23.11" Maximum length (or more)

 The Bilsteins that are on my ORED are  #F4 BE5  6078-HO  .
  These are 17.5 extended  and 12. 3 closed .    You will have to verify that the shock is in its travel .    They look to be too short according to Brett's posted range  . IMHO.

I have sent an email to Bilsein for confirmation on a few things. I did find this ad online by putting  in the new number and it specifies foretravel in wording

Why specifically Bilsteins?

The Konis will help soften the somewhat harsh ride of the older torsilastic springs.  Yes, I suspect more $$.

I recently Monroes installed on my U225. I got the (Napa) numbers from FOT. Rears seem to be ok; fronts are very bouncy; not a very pleasant ride.
