U300 headlights

I tried the search engine, but didn't find what I need. Maybe I'm just too tired. Anyway, I had a burned out headlight recently, so I bought a pair of new bulbs and changed both. The burned out one went nicely. The other one is a pain. First the plastic ring broke a couple of the inside ridges, so that it wouldn't lock. I tried caulk that sticks to everything to make it stay put. It didn't stay. The bulb melted some of the plastic reflector while it was getting ready to fall out. I'm going to have to replace the whole reflector, I guess. What year Bronco headlight assembly was used on a 1993 U300? I know it is here somewhere, but I don't see it. Thanks.

Bronco headlight projection conversion
There is a amazon link in there for light assemblies without the ford Prisms.  I have purchased two to modify and felt they were my favorite choice

My new Eagle Eyes headlights arrived yesterday. I'm going out to the storage place tomorrow to see if I can get at least one in. The plan is to put both in, but I know that Murphy is alive and well.

Got the new headlights installed today. I had help from my son-in-law and his son. Didn't take as long as I thought it might. Probably half of the time was spent in driving back to get tools.

Tips:  remove the grills to get easier access to the top inside screws. Big screws on the outside are 3/8" heads. Small screws in the inside are square drive. Bolts on the new assembly are 12mm.

We didn't get a chance to test them, as my daughter showed up with lunch just as we were gathering tools together. About that time Jo Ann called to ask if we were all coming to our house for lunch. DUH!! After lunch the two grandsons (1 and 3) and grandpa took naps.

Photos will follow. As I said, when we got everything installed and tools picked up it was lunch time, so went back home (coach is in a storage lot) for lunch and then naps. I disconnected all batteries a couple of weeks ago, so in order to test and get pics I'll have to reconnect the batteries. School starts tomorrow, so will be a busy week. Even though I'm part-time, I'll be there all day each day this first week.

Oh yes, lights go out and in very easily from the back. Just pull them back and lower them to the ground, reverse to install.
